Average deviation of planned
budget of tasks is a
key performance indicator that shows the average
variance in money of planned budget of tasks against the baseline budget of
tasks.
Average
deviation or cost variance is calculated by the following formula:
Average
Deviation (Cost Variance) = Cost - Baseline Cost
Cost is the
actual budget spent on task.
Baseline
Cost is originally planned budget for task.
This KPI
helps to compare the variation of costs for tasks over some periods of time.
If you need
to calculate average deviation of planned budget of tasks, please do the
following:
1. Create the custom field "Cost Variance":

2. If you
need to view the average deviation of planned budget per particular project,
filter your to-do list by task group with project tasks.
3. to display the average deviation of planned
budget on Task List set footer:
- right
click under column "Cost Variance"
- select
"Average"
