Average
employee costs per project is a key performance indicator that shows the
expenses amount calculated by dividing the total employee cost of projects by
the number of projects. Average employee costs include all costs that depend on
the employee performance. Employee costs can be calculated by the following
formula:
Employee
Costs = (Actual Work * Standard Rate) + (Actual Overtime Work * Overtime Rate)
This KPI
helps to compare the variation of employee costs on the project level.
If you need
to calculate average employee costs per project, please do the following:
- To enable the displaying of total employee
costs for task group follow the steps described at:

- To enable the displaying of average
employee costs of projects select the root or parent task group and click
"Custom fields options"
- In "Edit custom fields options" window
select the following options:
- select
custom field name that shows the project cost, for example "Employee Costs"
- select "Enable"
- check
"Aggregated (for task group)
- select
"Average" and the custom field name "Employee Costs"
- click
"Ok" button
