The Average Schedule Completion
Effectiveness (%) measures the number of scheduled hours (Baseline
Work) to the number of actual hours needed to complete the task or project
(Actual
Work) expressed as the average percent rate. This KPI can be applied
towards task or projects. If you count the Average Schedule Completion Effectiveness,
you can determine or compare how successful your planning was within some time
span.
Schedule Completion Effectiveness (%) is calculated by the following formula:
Baseline Work /Actual Work * 100
To view the Average Schedule Completion Effectiveness, please do the following:
1. Create custom field "Baseline Work":

2. Create custom field "Actual Work":

3. Create custom field "% Schedule Completion Effectiveness":
- Go to: Tools/Custom fields and press "Ins" button
- In "Title" field enter "% Schedule Completion Effectiveness"
- In "Code" field enter "cf_schedule_completion"
- In"Type" field select "Integer"
- In Formula field enter the formula below and click "Ok" button
- ($cf_baseline_work / $cf_actual_work)* 100
4. to estimate the Average Schedule Completion Effectiveness per project double click on the required task group on Task List – Groups panel
5. to view the Average Schedule Completion Effectiveness per resource and over some time span set the appropriate filters on Task List –
Filters panel
6. Set footer to display the Average Schedule Completion Effectiveness:
- right click under column "% Schedule Completion Effectiveness"
- select "Average"
To view the Average Schedule Completion Effectiveness per project do the following:
- On Task Tree select root task group and select "Custom fields options"
- To enable the displaying of the Average Schedule Completion Effectiveness select custom field "% Schedule Completion Effectiveness" and do the following:
- select Enable
- check "Aggregated (for task group)
- select "Average" and the custom field name "% Schedule Completion Effectiveness"
- Select task group for which you need to view the Average Schedule Completion Effectiveness, right click and select "Custom fields options"
- Select custom field "% Schedule Completion Effectiveness" and select the option "Enable by parent".
