Number 1-20

Number 1-20 custom fields show number format information related to a task or resource. For example, you have many departments in your company and you need to track tasks assigned to certain department. If you created custom fields Number 1–20 when you set up VIP Task Manager Professional, you can rename one of these custom fields, for example, Number 1 to "Dept Code" and enter the department code to this custom field.

To create custom fields Number 1-20 please follow the steps below:

1. Go to: Tools/Custom fields and press "Ins" button

2. In "Title" field enter "Number 1", "Number 2" or "Number 3", etc.

3. Enter "cf_number_1", cf_number_2" or "cf_number_3", etc. in "Code" field

4. If you would like to use integer numbers only, select "Integer" in "Type" field

If you would like to use integers and decimal numbers, select "Float" in "Type" field.

5. to display the value of custom fields Number 1-20 on Task List or Task Tree please go to Task List or Task Tree, click Task List Columns or Task Tree Columns button   and check the custom field "Number 1", "Number 2" or "Number 3", etc.

6. to enter value of custom fields Number 1-20 please do the following:

a)      Open a task and go to Custom Fields tab

b)      Enter the value for custom field "Number 1", "Number 2" or "Number 3", etc. and click "Ok" button. For example, if you renamed "Number 1" custom field to "Dept Code" and the assigned task belong to Development Department that has code 9 , enter this value for the custom field "Dept Code"
